2014 ML350 Coolant Type

Hello,

I need to top off low coolant levels to hold over until I can go to a dealer.

Looking for advice on the right coolant type for a 2014 ML350 4MATIC. The manual says to use ML 325.0 which this MB site lists to use Zerex G 48 as an option. However on this forum I have seen other posts that recommended Zerex G 05. My current coolant is from the dealer and it is blue if that helps.

If there is a way to use what the dealer uses that would be ideal.

Zerex G-48 is blue.
Zerex G-05 is straw color.

Ok thanks so it sounds like Zerex G-48 is the right one. Since Zerex G-48 is one of the listed coolants in the manual, any idea if it is safe to mix that with the existing dealer added coolant?

When I had to top up my coolant it ended up being a tiny pin hole in the Y hose fitting going to the heater core. It’s right up under the fire wall plastic covers. If you can see if you have any bluey oily residue on your garage floor. Mine was only leaving the size of a quarter overnight.
If you need to top up your coolant you have a leak. Unless you’ve done a repair where you’ve lost some.

Ok makes sense, it was topped up in December so must be leaking a bit somewhere.

I have 2014 ML 350 Bluetec, and I did the top-up based on coolant color, I had that pink/violet coolant and not the blue colour. So I matched that with the proper Zerex G-40 coolant.
