Hello Fellow members,
During the summer, while playing a CD in the command unit an error message popped up, basically saying the unit overheated. The CD player stopped working and it no longer recognizes any CDs inserted in it. I suspect the unit overheated due to dust accumulated in time which prevented proper cooling.

Does any one have experience with repair shops doing R&R. As alternative, would a used command unit purchased on ebay, etc. for a similar MY vehicle be a direct replacement or is there need for "programming" of sorts that only an MB dealer can do?

Any advice appreciated. TIA,
ATA.

Hello. There are plenty of aftermarket brands that you can use...just Google search your specs and you'll see. GL.
