I would like to wish all the members out there a very happy new year

This is an especially sad time for me as due to differences of opinion with the hierarchy this will be my last post.

I would like to give a big thank you to all the members who have assisted me over the years and hoped that some of my posts have also helped others with their problems.

To the many friends around the world I have made on this forum I bid a fond farewell and wish you all many years of safe and happy motoring with your Bs

Over the past few years you have given out more fact filled information than anyone on the forum and all will suffer from your loss.

The hands on experiences you have passed on as well as the humour and positive attitude will last in our memories for ever.

Good bye old friend you will be missed.

I also wish A Happy New Years to most of the people I have met on the forum and hope we will meet again. I am also stepping away from the forum after 2 years.

What?!? Come on guys, this can't be right. This is one great forum and we are one big B family. And like most families, not everyone agrees with each other. But that shouldn't stop family members from leaving the family. Arguements and disagreements on thread subjects will always occur. Discussions (even face to face) will often end up off topic; that's inevitable. Don't let this keep you away from those that enjoy the stories you share and the wonderful tips you give to new and old members alike.

Keith, you post on this forum religiously (almost daily) and it's entertaining if not educational at times. If everyone were to post fixes and breaks on this forum, then these cars must be quite poorly built. I enjoy coming to the site to read about how people are doing with their B's and how things are on the other side of the planet, and just entertain myself with stories from around the globe.

Obviously we are all here, because we love our cars, or at least have to love it because we sank alot of hard earned dough for it. We want to care for our cars, talk about our cars, and share with others who have the same car. Don't let petty little differences amongst us change that.

Please remember that the moderators volunteer their time to help keep some order on this forum. Not everyone will agree with them all the time, but they do this because they want to keep this forum running smoothly and easy to navigate for all. They deserve a pat on the back for this, because it's a time consuming task. But they care enough to do so.

Anyway, I'm sure everyone gets my point by now, so I'll stop rambling.

Very well put. These seems akin to the kid who doesn't get his/her way in the sandbox - they take their toys and go home.

I trust and hope that the members who continue with the forum will be as inspired and insightful as those departing. I am sure they will be, as members here love their vehicles and like to discuss such.

For those who have made the decision to depart, I wish you well, and your thought provoking and informative posts will be missed.

Happy New Year to all, hopefully 2010 will be a better year then 2009.

It's the first time that I've ever seen any compassion in one of your posts.
....and if this type of posting had come from you a few years ago, all of the subtle digs and little slurs would have been more easily forgiven.

We we're a friendly group who joked (maybe too much at times) and loved solving all of the queries from around the globe. German Star and Eric are far too busy to research and go back to see the difficult times we we're having with you.

Why did you have to wait this long to start to be nice?

I sent you your requested WIS, but you never helped us out. You let us do all of the work on our own.
You didn't like much of our chumming about and made it well known.

All you had to say was that your we're sorry for past digs to them.
We've lost the most cheerful and dedicated people that we've ever seen here in the B Class.

Why did it have to come to this?

Well, it is my impression that this thread has run its course. I will lock it now and leave it here for anyone to see.

Moderation in this forum will remain light. As has been the case up to now, the only things that will be moved out of the forum will be any posts or threads that are either a rule violation or pointless and a major source of destructive controversy.

In the interests of moving forward in a positive direction, I want to thank everyone for their contribution to the forum and hope that in the future any concerns about moderation will be made to me first, then to my colleague moderators and administrators and only as a last resort be posted in this forum.

Communication from those who have recently quit the forum did not follow this pattern and it's impossible to make things better when you don't know what's going on. I would also like to thank GermanStar and Eric for their help during this time.
