Just sat in a 2010 G550. The updates to the interior are gorgeous!
The full leather dash and new seats are really something else.
Does anyone know if the 2010 has updates to the transmission?

I hope the front seat covers and cushions fit the older seat frames...

I could be wrong but I think the new front seats are at a cost to the rear seat legroom. I've only seen pictures but it looks tighter than my 02 was. MB really needs to redesign the 1990 era rearseat and push it back about 6". They should also attempt to make it match the look of the front seats. I was shocked by the 09s that looked like they pulled the front seats out of a different model and simply bolted them in w/o any consideration on continuity.

I think the stock ones found in pre 2009 are completely different than the rear as well. The rears may be the most comfortable seats I have ever experienced. Almost as if MBUSA thought that many people would be chauffeured around in the G500 but the fronts are rock hard. I really wish there was a soft alternative for the front seats. I don't want sporty seats!

The front seats on the 2010 G-Class are more comfortable (softer, etc.) than previous model years. They are the same seats as are found in the 2010 E-Class. The rear seats have undergone a slight cosmetic change to match the front, but are essentially unchanged.
