2008 w221 mercedes s550 4matic Malfunction light on dash, benz rides rough, air shocks are up, rides like an old truck, can not figure it out, parts Rep said it could be airmatic valve block? Any suggestions, thanks.

Is the malfunction light "4MATIC" or "Airmatic"? Based on the rest of your statement above I'm guessing Airmatic.

First order of business is to scan for codes, lots of potential issues so narrowing the search will save you from overspending on the solution.

Well i have 2008 S550 with the Air Malfunction light and it rides as you've described. car is sitting level not losing air. Pump works and no leaks found. HELP!

If you have to replace Airmatic parts, go with Arnott. They cost a lot but good. Lifetime warranty too. I'm one of those guys that bought the cheap Chinese replacements first and then had to go buy the same parts all over again. Buy good parts.

How did you check for leaks?

soap water on all lines and i raised the vehicle and it stayed raised a week.

Have someone check for codes using Xentry (MB diagnostics).
