I borrowed a friends Bluetooth PUK from him - he has a 2007 B Class.

Part No. is B6 787 5877

It does not work in my 2007 E Class - no lights or anything. I thought this PUK would be compatible ???

Any ideas , comments ? I want to buy a cheap 2ND hand MB PUK from Ebay or somewhere similar and need a part no. that will work.

It's an Australian RHD car, but that should amjkke no difference. It has Comand with Sat Nav, and when I press the phone button it always says "Insert Phone"

anyone ??? maybe the connection in my E is faulty as I have never used it before ?
In the US, for E class from 2007 I know 2 bluetooth adaptors : model # B6 787 5878 & the older one is B6 787 5839. There is one more adaptor come out this year (I recall # B6 787 6131 ?). No sure what module to be use for the E class outside of the US.

What do you mean by "no lights or anythign"? The puck would only have a blue led that comes up when you initiate pairing. Did you try to pair your phone with this BT adapter?

Have you ever used a phone in the cradle?

US BT adapters are different, Australia should be using the same parts as Europe and this part really should work in your car:
Mercedes UHI and MHI Phone Cradles

Thanks for you replies.

Just solved it - I gave it an extra hard push and it started to flash blue light. As the B sits down near the sea, I think the connection may be a bit corroded on the puk.
thanks for your help.
