Hi everyone,

I just changed the 24 plugs on a 2007 S600, did the valve cover gaskets and changed the PCV valve along with cleaning a lot of oil in the cylinder holes and on the coil packs since the valve covers were leaking oil bad. The spark plugs were also drenched in oil.
I broke some vaccum lines along the way since there were so hard and easy to break.

- I am wondering if I need to replace the vaccum lines together with the other pieces it attaches to or can I replace just the vaccum lines alone ?

In the first picture ; the vaccum line on the left, can I remove it from that piece or do I need to change the entire piece it attaches to ?

Here are some pictures:
EDIT:
The images can be seen in post #4

There's over 1000 lines of code that make up that post, the images are definitely linked to benzWorld (see image below).

Thank you! Yeah, these plastic vacuum lines just become so brittle over time. The connectors are rubber and you can usually reuse them, just be sure the fit is pretty snug as the rubber will loose is flexibility over time as well and then you'll have a leak. Typically the vacuum tubing is sold by the meter so if you are able visit the dealer with samples of whatever sizes you need and they should have it in stock. 30+ years of working on my own Mercedes and every one of them as had that vacuum tubing.

Thank you dlafever,

How do I remove the vaccum lines from the connectors?

Do I just pull them out ?

Also it looks like some of them have been repaired with the lines going inside a bigger hose and clamps have been used to keep them tight. That don't look like it's factory, right ?

Here is a picture of them :

Here is another area where it seems to have been repaired :

These connections I've circled in red are meant to be separated and replaced. Sometimes with age and heat they seem to fuse together so you may wind up breaking them. If they are stuck the likelihood there is a leak is much less. The other connections with the metal clamps look like a factory-fabricated part and if it were my car I would try to get a replacement from the dealer. Not all agree with this and there are times when the dealer no longer stocks older parts.

These are the connections that should come apart with a little effort.

Those connections are not coming out at all they are stuck. The car is 15 years old and those lines were probably never replaced. The car is 1 owner and been serviced at the same MB dealer all its life. I guess they tried to repair the lines as you said it looks like factory fabricared parts.

What about in this picture, can the line be removed from there ? If not I'm guessing I need to replace that entire piece it connects to :

Unless that connector is leaking I would tend to leave them alone. If you do replace it be prepared to replace the rubber connector at both ends as well as the length of line in-between.

I finally got the vaccum lines out !

I was pulling them before and as hard as I tried they wouldn't budge.

Now I tried to twist them counter clockwise as if it was a screw and it worked ! They all came out like this
