My Mercedes stopped on me 7 months ago and hasn’t started since. It was in lamp mode, but I had to drive it. My only means of transportation.
I have changed the fuel pump, all coils, all Spark plugs, checked or replaced the fuel pump fuse/relay, coil fuse, changed the crank and cam shaft sensors as well as magnets. The engine was low on oil. Which has now been changed and is now full. I have more than 1/4 tank of gas. I checked and confirmed the chain is still moving as I crank the engine. The engine will crank and I have confirmed there is spark and fuel. As far as compression, the right side cylinders have good compression, the left side is at zero. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Perform leakdown test at left bank.

Sounds like timing chain has jumped.

Scan entire vehicle. Post results.

What is the VIN? It may have an engine that falls into the range of engine numbers that could have soft balance shafts.
That would explain Witek's hunch that the chain jumped on the left bank.

Witek_M, my VIN is WDBUF87XX7X211160
I was not able to find a VIN range for an issue with the “soft sprocket” issue. I was hoping you could help me with that and maybe provide me with some good news.
Your engine number is 27297230400104 It lands in range of affected engines.
