I know this is a trivial question but could someone who has a 2007/8 CLK tell me whether there's a light inside the trunk (i.e. one that comes on inside the trunk when you open it).

Maybe I'm going mad (probably) but I thought there was. After recently having work done on my 2007 CLK63 I noticed that there was not (the dealer did work in the trunk, hence my suspicion).

In the end, thanks to some help on another forum, I discovered that there was indeed supposed to be a trunk light in the CLK. With this knowledge in hand (and darkness), by opening the trunk and looking around in the tool area, I saw a light!

It turns out that my local MB dealer had failed to reassemble the light unit into the side of the trunk when they did some work recently. After 5 minutes of fiddling around I was able to restore the light fixture to its proper position.
