2006 ML500 COMAND Clock?

I purchased a 2006 ML500 last week (first M-B) and thrilled with the vehicle. I have spent the last week learning the menus and getting familiar with the COMAND system. On thing I can't find - is there a way to display the time in the COMAND system? I found how to reset the time, which apprears to only reset the dash clock. I am sure everyone knows this - the only clock is only visible to the driver. If it isn't standard - is there a firmware upgrade availabe that will allow this? I have two kids that are contantly asking me for the time on the way to school each day. I would hate to mount a cheap digital clock to the vehicle. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Push the ''system'' button once, no firmware upgrades available

My ML displays the time in the lower right corner of each screen, just above the phone signal strength meter. Not sure if it is because I have the bluetooth module, but I had assumed that the time display was standard. I guess not?

Unfortunately......

It only became standard on the 2008 model and up........l had 2, 06's and found it difficult to understand why, they had a clock only in front of the driver ???? Again..in 08, they added it to the Comand unit.........You could, if you are interested, check E-Bay for some 2008 Comand units and switch out the units.....it is an easy plug and play.....

C-ROD - Thanks for the advice. I will check that out. Also, does the 08 COMAND system have street names announced by the NAV system? I found it surprising that my current unit doesn't do that. Only announces turns in "XXX" feet.
