Mine came with it (not ipod yet though), but i can't figure out how to control it from the COMAND system, or steering wheel. It starts playing but seems to be in random mode. I can see the track name in the dash display but not on COMAND and all i can seem to do is scroll up and down through the tracks. I can't find documentation anywhere on how it works...HELP!

It only will show in the audio menu in the I/C. You can control it from the steering wheel. If you can't control it from the steering wheel, it is broken. I couldn't find instructions either. I think it may be in the owners manual.

instruction manual is a separate piece that should've been in the glove box.

but basically

the up and down arrow does normal functions (selecting different menu items in the screen)

use the phone hangup and phone pick up button as back and ok button respectively.

So if you can see the name of the song that is playing, hit the phone hangup button a couple times and it should go to the main menu that has shuffle/artist/genre, etc....then use the up and down arrow to select which way you want to look up songs...then press the phone pick up button to select.
