Hi,
New to the board, but i hope everyone can help me out.
I bought a brand new C230 (2006) in december and i'm having problems.
The main problem is that the car does this very rough jerk (like it lurches but then seems to feel like you've just hit something so you've come to a dead stop) right before it comes to a complete stop. The problem comes and goes so i have brought it into the dealership three separate times and have even left it overnight but no one was able to pinpoint anything. MOst people thought i was being crazy or they explained it as "adaptation" - that my car was learning my driving style.
Last week, I drove up and down the hills of San Francisco and the problem came back full force - this time it would jerk as i went from stop to any speed and then jerk again right before i came to a full stop. It only happens when the engine is cold - once it reaches its optimum temperature, the problem goes away.
The dealership was finally able to verify the "issue" and says that they're going to try to replace a transmission valve gear in an attempt to fix the problem.
They should have called me back today if the problem is solved, but so far I have not received a call.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? I feel like the dealership is treating me differently because they figure i'm a "dumb girl" - but i'm so fed up with the NEW CAR having issues that I hope I can learn as much about this problem before I go in so I dont get swindled.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated! [:I]
