This is what the guy said that is selling me the conductor plate he is. flashing and programing the conductor plate I'm purchasing from them! I just sending my vin#
I asked him what he meant by Adaptations.

New message
Adaptations are not flashing or programming. It's releasing transport protection and range sensor learning. Check out our feedback for additional Q&A and FAQs.

It sounds to me like they are going to SCN-code the new TCU with your VIN so all you need to do is install it and it should work "out of the box". There are adaptations that can be done to set shift points and such, but it will self-adapt to your driving style.
Oh ok that's what I needed to know
After I install it.it will work. And doing the learning by turning key to on
Pressing gas pedal to floor for 15 secs then releasing and waiting 30 secs then drive it how I drive it will learn.. I understand now
Thank Rudeney! 馃憤

No, you still need the laptop to finalize the programming before the car will shift.

It still needs to go to the indy.

Another thing.. I'm not sure what trans fluid was used in this car?
After a new filter and part I stalled can I use the Valvoline Max life full synthetic multi vehicle to refill ? States on back recommended for Mercedes..

Ok I took trans pan off and no fluid in it from when shop looked at it.After I got pan off I started taking all the tork screws loose.I didn't know all I had to take off were 10 along the front and back. Stupid me.. I only just losend all the 30 other screws. Didn't remove them. So I was hoping I can just tighten them back? I'm sure there is a torq sequence
Does anyone k ow the pattern?
Valve body is still in place..
Also is there an easy way to get electric connector plug out of trans casting on conductor plate without breaking it!

Ok watched a video on overhauling valve body.. The bolts I cracked loose but didn't take valve apart need to be torqued to 85 and that will fix my dumb mistake.. I'll do that while valve body and plate are still installed! Then remove valve body and plate from transmission..
Learn from your mistakes I guess!

It sounds like you WILL need SDS. The SCN coding is done, but the transport protection removal requires SDS to run Initial Startup on it, set engine type, etc.

Hey I have the valve body and conductor plate out of trans.
I'm trying to find out what other models and years of Mercedes have same conductor plate?
My conductor plate #A 033 545 73 32. Is there a site that would tell me?

So.... What happened to the other seller that was going to send you a new conductor plate? Why are you doing the research for him?

No the one he had was a different number.. I found another on with my same number and it's suppose to be programmed if I send him my Vin.
But what's the point? I get it it's not plug n play and have to take it to shop to program or do adaptations. It's 850.00
Then 300.00 for programming

The numbers on the conductor plate doesn't matter. Just get the VGS3, and as long as the other guy does the programming and coding right, all will be good.

VGS1 through VGS3 all will work, regardless of PN, RWD or 4matic. Just software and coding has to be right.

Ok I was researching it and says VGS 1 needs the valve body it came with to work! VGS 2 and 3 you can just replace conductor plate..
I found a plate..will this one work? It's different # but VGS 2 ??

If you're planning on keeping the car for any appreciable period of time, look for vgs3.
