According to my owner's manual, it's 8.5 quarts, including oil filter.

depends on your engine.

if it has a 271 engine (kompressor) it takes about 5.8 quarts
if 112 start with 7.5
if a 272 engine, start with 8.0

how u know what type eng u have?

im guessing 112 is the 2.5L V6 right?

The OP's engine is in the M272 family, the newer 4-valves and one spark plug per cylinder engines, in 2.5L, 3.0L, and 3.5L displacements.

the 112 engine has no dipstick, the 272 engine has a dipstick at the back, yellow handle. 271 engine also has no dipstick and the filter is at the back of the engine.
