After new fresh oil changed with Mobil 1 full synthetic as normal , my dummy head was overfill engine oil just a little about max level of dip stick , After 14 miles driving my engine was overheat at 190 degree and knocking hard , really hard but I did pull over immediately and towed it to home ,cluster show oil was HI , I Drain oil to normal level but now it not start or firing anymore , all injectors was soaked wet and clean look injectors , no black dead I mean the knock is unusual that so much to compare with normal tapping diesel engine noise
When I unplug fuel pressure regulator so I could crank engine over it seem like turns smoothly without grinding sound , oil is clean .
What cause ? where to look for ?
Thanks for any input .

After contact in person with Sprinter services Supervisor ( My local Portland-OR and they are so freaky busy with all Sprinter services...wow ) I had pretty good direction prior tackle next step to this problem , compression test is the most effective method to determine my case and result show my Cyl # 1 is only 40 Psi and Cyl # 3 is 145 Psi which are below OM647 engine mfg spec of 235 Psi low side and 323 Psi high side ( 45 max in between) other cyls are well above 323 psi. These compression test result makes me moving to the next level is remove cylinder head today with high hope that either intake or exhaust's valves were bend .

Update :
Engine was out of the van together with transmission ( Much easier) , strip down with result : Head is perfectly or mint cond but still rebuild as is ( Valve seats and lapping). Engine block was off to machine shop for rebore and honing to the first oversize as .020mm and whole new pistons set , bearings are coming to, blah blah blah.
Two cyls as 1 # 3 were a primary suspect of piston crown damaged and bent con rods, I was thinking of lack of overheating on combustion defaults , injectors dead, oil jets blockage or could be from the get go at assembly plan I think these had cause a premature engine failure and I inherited as new owner !!????
I don't like the way MB engineering design piston cooling oil jets ( Squirters) press in style , its very hard to remove (for cyls bore and hone) requires specialty tools ( # 9746 & 8942) which were discontinued but hope MB stealership may has its ( Praying) I do refer bolts in block oil jets nozzle .
Til then will keep updating .
