That's the way I was leaning. I think the only thing that blocks window closing is the roof not fully open or fully closed and latched. Motors and door modules are independent, so they wouldn't affect both sides. Diagnostics on the door module will tell you if the windows are blocked and status of the window switches, I would at least start with that.Sounds like something in the roof sensors might be getting ready for causing more permanent trouble.
What is that supposed to do?Try this, get in, turn the car on, hold both window buttons up past the auto click and hold for 5 seconds. If that doesn't fix the problem you have a bigger issue
Door control module learns window up position. You will hear click in the door as position is stored. What is that supposed to do?
Exactly what mine did when the battery went dead. This car sits for long periods and someone unplugged my battery tender so the trunk battery was dead. Not sure if it's related or not.
Transmission fluid level is checked using shop dipstick. Only reason to hook up DAS is to read fluid temperature in D or R. Open WIS and search for article ar27.00-p-0100ac
Is this a 2003 or 2004 SL500? Doesn't 2004 fill from bottom of transmission pan (no dipstick)? No electrical connector also.
Once you enter VIN in search mode select full text search and enter search term "oil level". To narrow down search results uncheck all groups and select group 27 only.
Have you entered search term?
this synchronizes the windows. It may be required after the battery is disconnected. It may be required to operate the vario roof completely. Hold both window switches up for one extra second after the windows reach the top. This is in the owner's manual. What is that supposed to do?

Ditto on fully charge both batteries, and or verify that voltage with engine off exceeds 12 volts. If unable to exceed 12 volts, replace the rear / accessory battery.
OOPs... I am distracted watching Mercedes in Formula 1.Looks like you need to resynchronize your "quotes"![]()
