2005 SL500 - Common Problems/Issues
Hi,
I've had my SL500 for about five years and have maintained it reasonably well. I have 75K miles on it and just recently I've replaced a strut, bushings, engine mounts, rotors and brakes etc....I've also kept up with the normal Service A/B. I think I am going to have to replace my ABC Pump really soon.
Does anyone know or have experience with common problems with this car as it advances in age?
I'm trying to determine if I want to keep it or get rid of it. It's a costly machine to drive and I expect the expenses, but if there are a great deal of huge expenses coming down the wire or if there are common problems (ABC Pump) I would like to be aware of them.
Also, if anyone has any great Indy mechanics in the Los Angeles area, I'd be grateful. Mine was wooed away to GMG Racing in Santa Ana.
