My wife had a new C back in '05. I ended up getting an extra pair of front sport package wheels (17x17.5) and when the first set of tires wore out I got 4 of the same size tires, and pulled the larger (17x8.5) wheels out of the mix, so I could rotate. I still have the rear wheels (17x8.5) from the C.

Fast forward. I picked up an excellent condition 2005 CLK Cab with the same sport wheels this past weekend. I'm wondering if the the 17x8.5's will work on the front of the CLK, so, again, I can rotate my tires. My wife is hard on tires and brakes:crybaby2: Anyone know?

The offset on the older wheels you have is 4mm higher. You may be able to run them on the front but I wouldn't recommend it. You don't want to end up rotating them and ending up with a 30mm offset on one rear and a 34mm offset on the other.
