Hi guys, I have been having an A/C problem with my s500 lately, and I have already checked the encyclopedia and did not find the answer. The A/C blows warm air on warm days and the ac off light came on and would not go off. I pulled the codes through the A/C computer itself and got Error 1269(communication error in CAN bus with B31/1). I have had this code for several months, but the A/C just started blowing warm air. I also noticed that NR16, NR17, and NR18 all read "error". I have replaced the multifunction sensor under the hood with a used one and cleared the codes but it made no difference. Before I replaced the sensor I also noticed after I cleared the codes I could press the A/C off button and the light would go off and I would have cool, not cold, air for about 30 seconds. I am wondering if this could be a duovalve, another sensor, or the A/C compressor itself, as my car has ~140k miles. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

I read through the climate control section and was unable to test the multi-function sensor(B31/1) due to the three values showing error. Could it be something else like the A/C compressor being low on oil (i read from another thread) or the duo valve or another sensor triggering the error to the sensor?

read the encyclopedia and other sources last night for about 2 hours and went out today and replaced the duo valve. didn't work. I've already replaced the multifunction sensor and that's the only code I am getting. could a bad compressor cause the sensor and a/c system to quit functioning? or is there another sensor or connection I am skipping over?

Did you ever figure out the fix on this?
