I have not had the chance to get the wheels off yet but there is play when wiggli g the steering wheel inside the car. A knock can be heard up front behind the wheels. Could be tie rods I am thinking.

I have a 2003 ML350 with a shaking steering wheel at speeds of 35-75 mph. Is this a ball joint issue? Vehicle has 100,000 miles an started around 96,000.
