Dilema dilema... I want to wait, but I need another car since I'm giving my girlfriend my car... DAMN!!!! What do to?!?! Anybody have a 2001 model? What's the resale/trade in value/loss like? Would I take a hit if I trade it in for a 2003 when it becomes available? My 2002 on order is white/ash, every option except upgraded seats? I realize I might sound kinda stupid, but I'm a newbie in this area...<br>

AMG will not be a V8. Only C32 engines, supercharged V6.

That's exactly why I went on and got my 2002 CLK55. I did NOT want the six banger,even if it does have a few more horses. I guess it goes back to that old saying I could have had a V8,well I did and love it.

On the trunk it has a CLK430 emblem, and there isn't going to be a 430 it is going to be a CLK500 right?

There will be a CLK 500 and a CLK AMG 32

The CLK 500 ia going to replace the CLK 430 and the AMG 32 will replace the AMG 55. The 500 is going to have 306 hp and that is more than enough for me.

Theres no way the model line is gonna be clk 350 clk 500 and then clk 32. That dosent sound right. It only sounds right on c and slk class where the highest engine behind the amg is 320.

You know the Z06 Corvette get's 20 extra HP for 2002 and it'S BIG news! I just cannot believe that we think the new CLK AMG is going to have over 100 HP more than the current model. I hope you are right, but it just sounds to good to be true!
