Trying to figure out how many different varieties of the W203 4 door sedan MB made in 2002 - this would be an automatic w/o any forced induction.

Someone I know is selling one and can't remember the model. I saw the car a long time ago so I know it is a "C" sedan -- not heavily optioned. Unfortunately, the car is in a different location .

I'm trying to figure out a ball park as to the value and the possible engine -- car would always have been garaged with 60k on it. Would make a great extra car for us.

Thanks

For MY2002 in the USA, there was the C320 sedan, C240 sedan, C32 AMG sedan, C320 wagon, C240 wagon and C230 Sport Coupe. The C320 uses a 3.2l M112 V6b engine. The C240 uses a 2.6l M112 V6 engine. These V6 engines are basically the same, with the 2.6l in the C240 being "de-stroke" with a slightly lower compression ratio. You are probably looking at about a $1,200 difference in prices between the C240 and C320. According to KBB, private party for the C240 would be around $9,700, the C320 around $10,900. The C320 will have a few more luxury options like upgraded full-control dual zone A/C, 10-way power memory seats, and Bose audio.

Rudeney - Thanks so much ... for some reason I'm thinking it is the 240.

I'm surprised that they cost as much as the E Class modes of the same year.

I will look into the engine and common issues ... this car was owned by someone who took it to the dealer for everything .. she bought a new one a few months ago and kept the old one thinking someone in the family would want it ... no one does.
