I would like to place a simple powered sub in my G. I am actually happy with the sound save for the lack of bass. Can any one guide me through the following:
1. Location - under driver seat?, in the back?
2. Installation instructions?
3. Type of subwoofer - Infinity JBL ? other
Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I mounted an Infinity Basslink on the ledge above my CD changer. It added enough bass to the G500 system which I agree was lacking a bit in the low end. With it, it is much more balanced now.

How did you mount it there? Where did you tap in for power and where did you tap into signal? Thanks in advance. Remember I am not mechanically minded so type slowly!

I went to a machine shop and had them make a bracket out of sheet aluminum.

Then, I ran the power to the battery, and the ground to the ground stud behind the CD changer.

The signal comes from the two speakers in the back, however, these have filtering capacitors to remove the bass... so you need to tap in BEFORE the caps.

That's all it took!
