Drove my FIL's E430 on a 750 trip this week. Benz has 175K miles and recently had all 4 shocks replaced. At highway speeds from 65-85 vehicle tends to "wander" and need considerable wheel work particularly in highway grade curves. Car has new pilot sport a/s 3+, so what does it need? Sway bar bushings? Lower control arm bushings? both :oops:and more?

If it wanders and feels loose, it’s probably your inner and or outer tie rods. Jack up the front of the car, both wheels at the same time, and wiggle the tire side to side and if it moves it’s probably tie rods, you can look behind the wheel and move it to visually check to see any play. Good Luck!

Don’t forget the front ball joints - easy replace. At 175K, control arm bushings have definitely seen better days.
Also, not all tires are created equal, Some have weak sidewalls that increase the wandering feel.
