Had the car for 3yrs, bought it with 95k, no major issues until my crankshaft position sensor went bad. Didn't think much of it but 4 months after replacing it the check engine light turned on today - code P0335.

What would cause the sensor to go bad so fast?

P.S.

I just erased the code bc I'm eager to find out if it'll pop up again.

The car hasn't stalled on me yet like the first time the sensor went bad. I drove it all day and nothing was out of the ordinary.

P.S.S.

Service B has been overdue for 2100 miles and the last oil change was 5.000 miles ago.

Where did you get the CPS? The market is flooded with cheap Chinese crap. Amazon and eBay often sell counterfeit parts.
