I am in need of some major assistance regarding my 2002 C230 Kompressor with a standard stereo. First of all, i would love to buy a CD changer that fits in with the factory system, but I have a few questions. First of all, what type of installation is reuqired, when I look in the glove box of my car, theres no hatch or hole with wires for anything in it, unless i am not seeing them... Next will I have to reprogram my onboard computer to work with this player. Also what brand and stock numbers are compatable. I am also wondering where the bose subwoofer that goes into the hatch in the side is available. We have a bose store in our mall, and they don't seem to have it. Also what is the stocknumber and whats involved in installing it. Finally i am wondering what replacement tweeters are available for the system. All complete answers would be appreciated, and please Post everything, I have read through article after article of poeple E-mailing the instructions, and i think it would be more benefical to post em. So thanks alot folks for your help !!

There are two CD changers which will work with the stock head unit. One is the Alpine unit sold by the dealer. It is also available from Autoclass. http://www.autoclass.net/catalog/mercedes/accessories/w203/electronics.html<br> <br> You will need the fiber optic cable and the installation kit.<br> <br> The other changer is the Becker Siverstone 2662. It is slightly larger than the Alpine and may not fit in the glovebox. It may be lower in price.<br> http://www.continentalimports.com/cd6db.html<br> <br> There should be knockout holes in the glovebox for the wiring to pass through.<br> <br> The computer must be reset eventually, because fault codes will build up and the CD changer will stop working. This might take months, or it could be much shorter. This reset must be done by the dealer.<br> <br> The Bose bass module (it is not really a sub) only works with the optional Bose system.<br> <br> Ask a local shop about replacement tweeters.<br> <br> Link to brief installation instrustions:<br> http://www.stormpages.com/arialis/mb/changer/index.html
