Has anyone successfully completed this install? Is there an adapter for the fiberoptic cable from the stock head unit? I found the power cable bundle but cannot find where to attach the fiber cables. Does the changer go in the hatch area of the coupe?

Thanks for your help!

The CD changer has to be installed by MB dealer. It is Alpine's OEM changer. Even you can find this Apline changer in the retail store, you need an adapter and a metal case for the changer to fit in the glove box perfectly. MB dealer doesn't sell this adapter or the metal case separately. So you have to let MB dealer to make money from you.

It's not that bad, just 399 from Autoclass.net

Ask for gaston. They used to be cheaper but the euro sprouted recently. All together it's under $500 with bracket and fiber cable and deliver. My dealer charged $123 for install but you can do it yourself, just look through the postings for instructions. It goes in the glove box on the shelve that's in there.
