Haven't driven my 2001 Mercedes Benz S500 for about 2 1/2 weeks and decided to take it to the grocery store this morning.

First off, one of my keys do not work. (electronic key) so I come back upstairs and grab spare electronic key. (doors open)...

Put key in ignition won't crank/start. It is as if the car is in lock down mode. It's like the key doesn't fit in the ignition (yes it is the correct key). No lights come on nothing.

Maybe this has to do with the recent hurricane that passed by South Florida last week. (Car was not covered)

Do not know what else to do. Only thing I can really say about this issue is that my Mercedes feels like it is in some sort of safety mode and the ignition will not turn/crank...nothing.

Let me know BenzWorld community!

Mercedes has 69,000 miles. Never driven in snow.

Does the dash screen dispay show anything or is it blank? If blank, it is possibly a dead battery.
