I am going to buy a 2001 CLK 430.
1. So far I have noticed the instrument cluster pixel are messed up- thanks to this website I found out how to fix it.

2. I noticed all the catalytic converters have been reverted to straight pipes? Is this normal with 64 thousand miles? Would this give me a check engine light?

3. I notice the power steering is sort of wet. Is it normal to change power steering pump at this age of the car?

4. The owner states he replaced the ac condenser is this normal at this age?

Any other suggestions to look for? Thanks for all your help.

Hi, you're actually posting in the W202 body section so you may get more useful info from owners of the CLK. Go back to the main forum list and you will find it under "coupes/convertibles" and I believe that is a W208. Good luck!
