Hi Guys,

I have been read a lot of posted regarding this airmatic problems. In last couple weeks my car for some how has been shown this message "Airmatic error on your dash with car logo and a arrow pointing up or car is too low error in red color" for a quick moment ang gone. I does it almost every day when I am driving it. I check my both front shocks and found crack in it when I tested with soap and water got bubble in it but my front look a little bit low compare to the back but not too much and yes I got leak in the front. I can hear my pump run when I started my car. My question to all of you that had this problem is how long will it last till it totally drop so I can't drive any more, weeks, months? I don't drive much in winter, just work and back home about 20 miles a day. Thanks to all of you in an advance.

It is very hard to give you a time estimate, but I can give you this: The car will continue to rise until 1) the leaks get too big, or 2) the airmatic pump burns out, or 3) both 1 and 2.

The Encyclopedia addresses this, but still doesn't give a specific time.

Thanks to all, I will have to bring my car to have it check out probably by dealer next week and see what they have to say first but I'm prety sure they are going to tell me to replace it. I have read a lots of posted about airmatic probem but still have question about which one should I replace it with "Remanufactured Front Airmatic Air Suspension Shock Assembly OR new aftermarket front shock assemblies that boast Bilstein shocks equipped with specially-tuned valving for maximum ride control and comfort!. These are all from Arnott Company. What are you all have done to your W220's Airmatic when needed to replace? Thanks.
