I know this has been covered a bunch but. My car is sitting low on only the passenger side. It leaks fluid from somewhere near the cat coverter. I have heard horror stories of them catching fire and burning to the ground.

My question is how bad would it be to drive it that low on one side.
I have a long trip coming up and would like to drive a comfortable car. Let me know what you think.

thanks for the help.

Do no drive, do not pass go, proceed directly to a repair facility.

Not just because of a possible fire hazard, but also due to an exstremely expensive repair if left unattended. A leak is much less costly than running the risk of sucking air into your ABC pump and causing multiple failure issues then as well. A $200 leak repair can quicly turn into a $2000 (or more) rebuild.

My two pennies. :)

Especially on a long trip! I wouldn't drive it any farther than a couple miles to the mechanic.. You are asking for trouble operating broken machinery
