Hi,
was just driving down the expressway and my speedo cable (non electric)((as in no digital mph)) is stuck at 25..mph... . Any clues on how to fix it i have a 190e and i know how to take that apart except do i have to pull the whole instrument cluster out and how would one go about doing it ???

what happen when you start the car? always stuck at 25? maybe just motor problem.

take out the ic and try to move the needle yourself and see if it fix it. make sure your key is out before you unplug the IC.

No cable on the W210. Speed is calculated from the 4 wheel speed sensors. It sounds like you have a defective instrument cluster if it's permanently stuck at 25, and you have other malfunction indicators.

i turned on the car this morning the needle went back down then seemed to hold steady, but even when i bought the car the needle was always seeming to gradually stick when it went up

It is either the speedo motor on the ic that is defective. I think you need to get another one. But don't get from ebay, because this is a common ic problem. You can pm texholdem for his advise.
