Hey guys my 722.6 transmission is flaring during the 2-3 shift. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

Welcome to BW Danny Dral,

click on your icon----> click on Account Settings---->
goto Account Details----> add vehicle details---->
ADD your make model YEAR ----> click save.

Flaring can be model specific.

Moving you along to the w203 forum.

1) check your tranny fluid levels and it's condition (mileage and last change?)
2) Scan for any saved codes and post here.

Possibly the spring and/or the plunger are wearing down/out at the 2,3 passage.
If this is required, then you may as well redo the valve body at the same time.
Just surmising this at this time.

Not sure when it was last changed. Just picked the car up. The car has 213k miles on it but it doesn't slip any of the gears just flares the 2-3 shift

Other option to check/test first:
Shifter bushing may be worn or out of the holding ring (on the shifter).
You will need to go under to check this.

this is for a w210 (as Im not 100% familiar with the w203s) - should be similar

Alright thanks. I see other people are saying its a valve body issue. If all else fails should I go with the sonnax rebuild kit?
