I dropped the old 190 off at an auto electric shop here in Fort Myers. When I finally got the call about 20 min. ago they said my cluster was fried I have some burnt wires and the relay/regulator was shot to and it would cost me around $2000 for them to do the work. All I know is that around a week ago my vital(s) indicator stopped working after noticing the tach swing eratically a couple of times the day before. No fireworks, smoke nothing they just went to sleep quietly incuding my tach and brake lights. Any Ideas on how to save about $1500 would be appreciated.

daves right, get a wiring diagram and trace out all the wires if there is a short. if u get a new cluster from the scrap yard i would suggest that you re-solder all the circuity on the dash before you put it in. my old dash the circuit board had bad solder joints. this weekend im actually gonna take my dash out and resolder the joints cause my gas gauge is a little funky.
