Guys are these a direct fit on the r129 without spacers? Don’t have the part numbers yet from the seller but said they came off a E55.

Thanks.

No. these are S class wheels, with an ET of 46, R129's need et's in the range of 17mm to 30'' give or take, - here are the spec's of these S class wheels

Front Wheels: 8.5Jx19 ET46 (p/n B66020088 - A1404000902)
Rear Wheels: 9.5Jx19 ET46 (p/n B66020089 - A1404001002)

Since these are W140 wheels, they are machined for M14 lug bolts, with R14 ball-seat.

So in order to make them fit you would need;
  • 15-20mm spacers
  • special M12 lug-bolts that have R14 ball seats, and are much longer to accommodate the spacers
It would not be worth the effort for me, but others have put S class wheels on 129's before.

I think 18" wheels are about as big as I would go on an SL, the amount of sidewall left over to get the proper tire size diameter will not be very protective for pot-hole damage, but it's been done before.. Good Luck...

Thanks for the reply. I currently have aftermarket 18” monoblocks at the moment so looking for a genuine set.
Just on this side of the world the monoblocks are a rare commodity. So need to pounce ASAP if they tick all the boxes.

Just my .02 if you are looking for a genuine set I would stick to 18". I know 19s and even 20s have been put on the R129 but in my opinion 18" is the sweet spot for the R129, 17s look good and I think 16" look hideous.

Yeah, I just really want a AMG set before they become obsolete.

On a side note I just brought a C63 w204 and holy shit it is unbelievable compared to my E500 w211
