Did a search but was unsuccessful so:

1999 315, 000 km family owned car. Routinely overserviced.

The button for the passenger (NA) rear door lock will not go up via power. Will go up or down easily manually. When the power lock are used a whisle goes for 3-4 seconds and the ends. Sounds a bit like "Heeeeelp Meeeeee!"

Wife suggest a heathy squirt of WD 40.....

Any sugestions?

TIA

Larry

Suggest changing your door lock actuator for that door. If there is leak in the door lock actuator, there will not be enough vaccuum/pressure to move the lock button via the pneumatic pump. The whistle you hear is a indication that there is indeed a leak in the system. The question is where? It could be the vacuum line or the lock actuator. My money is on the actuator.
