Purchased replacement unit because someone broke the external reflector that protects the light bulb. I was told I had to take it to a mechanic to have the old unit removed and replaced with a the new one I purchased.
Looks like I can slide a firm card (i.e. credit card) to release the fastening clamp and have unit pop out.
Any one else use this technique?

Thanks

Don't think a credit card will work. You need something stiffer. Ideally a plastic trim tool. A butter knife will work. Pry rear end forward and then up. Once up, pull rearward to release
