I have recently acquired a 1999 C280 and there seems to be a problem with the tranny. It jerks when taken our of "Park" and put into "Drive", but seems to shift fine while driving. I haven't had a chance to take it for a diagnostics test yet.

Take it to the nearest transmission shop or check your tranny oil.

is the shift from park into drive delayed too?? Like as if the trans takes a second to build up enough pressure and then BAM, shifts into drive?

I got the car on saturday and today is really the first time i got to drive it around. I drove it to a mercedes mechanic today and i'm going back tomorrow to get a diagnostic. He said that it might be a pressure plate in the tranny or the shifter
