Hi everyone , I love my 99 c230k I've done alot to it and need to do a little more. I know my supercharger is bad the bearings I believe. They sounds horrible at idle and fine when drives, we all know why this is but the cover plate to its pully is loose n wobbly. I noticed its closer to fan blade. I have ran it with its supercharger plug unplugged worked fantastic and great of course less hp but it was working fine ....wait for it.... Then I plugged it in for a day or two recently and that was so very dumb! I was trying to see how much life it had in it obviously none.
So anyways i replaced fan clutch and did it correctly double trippled checked to make sure it wasn't something I did that got the blades closer... OK so I need to replace it its way too close for comfort like half a pinky fingernail! I can change supercharger but I also want to replace a/c compressor as well.
See a/c compressor blows at different levels it wont stay on 5 setting of any it differs on its own up and down. Always hot air no matter what setting and has a fast leak i was told from previous owner.
So is this a good idea to do both at same time?
I figured since belts will be off and clutch removed and not to mention everything else. I might as well replace it at same time as I need to in Az heat gotta use it to take elderly fam to Dr. and back.
Ive seen videos on supercharger but have not on a/c yet thanks again. Please help with tips and tricks video refferance and or diagrams thanks again.
