Do you just need the drawings? There are no service manuals available, yet. I tried to get a set. Supposedly they will be on CD and cost several hundred dollars.

If you need to know the location of something, or see an exploded drawing, I would find the "old guy" in the parts department and have him print out the schematics for you when you buy your next oil filter. (It helps to be buying something.) You will be needing brake fluid, coolant, or rear differential oil soon anyway.

Skip the service department. The service managers are usually no help.

Actually...

Actually www.alldatadiy.com has that for 1998 SLK, but it cost about $24.95 per year, it is an online service.
