I have a 1998 e320 4matic wagon. When I try to open the tailgate using either the inside or outside latch, the door unlatches but hangs up on whatever catch there is for the electric closing mechanism.
The pin the inside latch pivots on is broken on the left side. I can't see a way to get the interior panel off without having the tailgate open, but I can't open the tailgate. HELP!
