Vee12, did you get the 7000 series, 8100 series, 8000 series, or the 9000 series high flow cat from random technologies?

The 7000 series was recommended by the tech at Random Technologies. VERY high flow an relatively small in size. Beautifully constructed. The car has since passed emissions testing twice with flying colors. The cats cost about $400 with shipping for the pair. I had a race car fabrication shop build the stainless system....about $800 total. The sound is awesome when you stand on it, but very quite and civil when cruising or at idle. Well worth the effort...especially considering what the dealer wanted just to replace ONE of the factory units. Unfortunately, I don't have any before/after dyno results. One of the stock converters was plugged up so bad the car was not running well prior to the switch.

So what do you have for muffler/s or any at all? Im happy to see the pic of the pipes Is it a true dual now? Is there a x-over. Any check engine light since the swap? Id love to hear the sound of your 600.

Must be great to toss the 6-liter cat of the car, it must be heavy and clogged. Matt

It ties back into the factory dual inlet muffler...hence the civilized low speed sound. A set of FlowMaster or Remus mufflers would have possibly made more power, but it would be a little too obnoxious for the wife's daily driver.

A little size comparison between one of the factory cats and the Random Technologies item. Obviously the weight difference is just as telling as the size!
