So I just did a transmission fluid and filter change.I bought the 722.6 dipstick to check fluid level. With my Mercedes do I check the fluid level running , hot , and in neutral. And should fluid level read on the top hatch mark on the dip stick?

Thanks, Troy

Important - the ATF must be at 80C - ideally use a thermal gun on the pan - at a pinch, make sure you have done at least 10 miles before reading the hot scale

Do not overfill - good idea to fill to a bit under the top mark, then you'll have some leeway if you get a heatwave
