Hi- I have a 97 c280. I have had to charge it twice over the last 1000 miles. Now the ec light is on and the compressor is not engaging. I bought some dye to track the leak. Here is my question. How do I get the compressor to engage, so I can put refrigerant/dye into the system? Thanks- Curtis.

The can has enough pressure to 'force' itself in. Normally, you'd hook up the can, turn on the AC, and eventually the AC compressor would come when the pressure reached the compressor threshold.
