Hello, I have been reading this forum for a couple months now and it has really helped me out so far, anyways this is my first time posting so please bear with me. This past weekend I was is a small fender bender in my 1997 e320. The only damage to my vehicle was a cracked front bumper right beside the license plate. The bumper needs replacement and I thought what better time to install a body kit. The one that really stood out to me is intended for the face lifted w210 model and my real question is how difficult would it be to modify the kit to fit my 97 w210? I have included a link below because I assume materials will affect if this is possible or not. If anyone has experience with this sort of thing, or as any ideas I would love hear them.

E-Class W210 00-02 01 Body Kit Carbon Fiber Morello 8Pc : eBay Motors (item 170420764537 end time Feb-13-10 16:01:41 PST)

no offense, but that is hideous. nothing grabs my attention more than an older unmodified (cosmetically) w210 that could pass as a car that was built only a year ago. Maybe I just don't "get" body kits and rims and other completely unnecessary aftermarket junk. it's an old car. put your money into maintaining it properly before modifications, you'll be able to enjoy it more. that's my opinion anyway.

Took the words out of my mouth! I would also like to add one thing. What are people thinking when they consider these kits? Are they trying to fool the public into thinking that a $6000 car is a $100k car? Are they trying to act and/or look rich? If I had money to waste on kits and the tasteless upgrades, I would rather put that money into getting a newer model. Nothing looks cheaper than a riced up car. To me it exudes lack of class and priorities. BTW, these "upgrades" kill the value of the car.

I can tell you that everything is diffrent, Front fenders, Lights, and hood.
so add hood $200 fenders $300 Lights $250 + the body kit = $2800 plus paint and labor.

Or you could get a $60 bumper paint it and be done.

and those are my prices on aftermarket parts, you cant get those parts that cheap.

Oddly, Im in aggreement with the others on this one.....But you didnt ask for our opinion. When all said and done, your looking at $5,000+ to buy and make that kit look right. Hope you already have some sweet wheels and suspension to go with it...

That kit doesn't look right on the W210. I think that if you want a kit, get something reasonable on price and a little more reserved as W210 shouldn't look like a pimp's ride IMHO.

Give the guy a little break as we all were young once, our bragging right was just about the car. Go for it but don't empty your bank.
