I've decided I want to purchase this vehicle from a third party or from a dealership. But I want to know why most of the vehicles I find are around 130,000-170,000 miles. Is it because there are drive train problems that happen with these cars?

I've had two W210 in the past 4 years and never had a problem with them or heard of any drivetrain problems. My first W210 I bought with 80k miles it was a 99 and no problems what so ever besides the damn catalytic converter sold it with 130K on it and still ran like a champ. I upgraded to a 2001 with 60k miles and I drive these cars pretty hard and never had a problem now she has about 90k and still hasn't given me anything to worry about or to go out of my way to fix. Most of these cars I see are normally highway miles so I wouldn't worry about it. A Mercedes is a Mercedes and are built to last for ever if taken care of somewhat. Good luck, I hope this helps.
