Is it possible to clear all the MB P codes and turn off the MIL light manually without an expensive scanner, baum tool etc.....I saw something about using .99 cent radio shack LEd and banana clips to retrieve codes.....

IS THERE AN INEXPESIVE ( JUMPER CLIP _ WIRE ) WAY TO CLEAR THE CODES AND RESET LIGHT AND START FRESH THROUGH THE 38 PIN DIAGNOSTIC PLUG?

home brew scanner never works properly for the most part, word of advice, a local shop with a capable scanner for 50 dollars for 30 minutes of labor will save you a lots of hassle on the long run...

Over the years, I ve seen people slow up their ECM fuses, blowing up the ECM itself, or burning the CAN harness...

1995 SL 500 computer coeds clearing

Really appreciate your help and fruitfull advice. Got ahold of an independent mercedes tech with a shop and decades of knowledge and parts ...he is 105 miles away from me in Kona and I was trying to avoid that trip; however, he advised me that he would check all the old codes, clear it and then run it for free. if new coeds come he will give me estimate and list of codes. Also he is willing to allow me to procure my own parts off the internet.....pretty cool guy at R.A.G.S. in Kona....has a big shop and sponsors the mercedes benz club on this Island.....AAA will tow the car over next week DO NOT WANT TO FRY ANYTHING BESIDES ONO FISH AND CHIPS.........thanks so much:thumbsup:
