Thanks for all the replys.... suggesting to replace the harness , that was a given! How about some sites where to get the replacement harness and the possibilities of MB paying for this obvious defective part???
I don't think you'll get anywhere with having MB reimburse you. They deny there is any such wholescale problem.
I tried to get people to register their complaint on the NHTSA web site. Just keep in mind the NHTSA only cares about safety issues, so play up the safety angle of this problem. Given enough complaints, they may take notice.
