My sportline might be up for sale by Monday. Wife went to apply for a lease on a new Jetta. She misses having a manual transmission.

Anyway, looks like the sportline will have to go. Love the car but I cannot keep the 3 Mercedes! My 95 E320 is better suited for the extensive travel I do (the Buick ride) :DI will post all the details on the car soon.

yeah - it's a tough market. My guess is about the book on trade, plus a few hundred for condition (if you have receipts).

Uh oh, you're not gonna like this:

KBB
Trade in:
Excellent
$1,950
Good
$1,625
Fair
$1,075

Private Sale:Condition Value

Excellent
$3,275
Good
$2,875
Fair
$2,375

KBB lists no Sportline option.
If privately sold I'd bet on at least a 10% - 20% Sportline bump in value.

KBB is just a guide as we all know. Actual sale price is, as always, based on how
much a buyer wants the car & how much of a loss the seller is willing to take.

Thanks for all the interest! I will keep you posted.

No confirmation yet on the lease. It will be monday before I know.
By the way, KBB gave me a good laugh!:) Sportline's are rare and do not come up for sale that often. This one is fully sorted. It will be priced accordingly but not in fantasy land.

Equipment:
Sunroof
Rear sun shade
Heated seats
Premium sound system (speakers in doors and amplifier) from factory
No asr!
All sportline equipment: Suspension, E500 interior, sportline wheel, shifter and steering box. all exterior sportline badges and shifter knob.
Interior is immaculate. no rips.

Now for the new stuff in last 9000 miles:
Head gasket
water pump
Timing chain
4 new sportline springs
New radiator and thermostat
New front swaybar brackets
New blower motor
New khumos with original look 8 hole wheels. 205-60-15 with 7" rims.
complete set of winter wheels and tires.
New headlight lenses.
All fluids have been changed: Transmission, diff, and the usual eng/filter changes.
Everything works!

The negatives:
lock on armrest storage broken
Temperature gauge sometimes jumps and is erratic due to a bad ground.

Mileage as of today: 149,070.

You can send 10 people to KBB online and they will all come up with a different answer. Which is OK because KBB just made up the data anyway.
Something to do with the zip codes. It adds/subtracts a certain amount by the areas in which you live. I'm thinking KBB and the like work using the time zones. east/west coasts are more expensive than midwest/etc.

However, that is one disgustingly beautiful Sportline. Good luck not getting a lease. :p

But the point is they don't actually have market transaction data on all these cars. A computer spits it out based on very broad generalizations, factors of new prices, etc. They could no more value a nice E320 Sportline than they could jump over the moon.
