Have play in my fan pulley..I assume it is the the fan bearing bracket.
Wondering if anyone can tell me if the 8mm hex bolt that holds the fan on is standard thread or left hand thread. Don't want to be trying to turn it the wrong way.
Thanks in advance,
Harry

Lefty loosey. But it EXTREMELY hard to break loose. I sometimes lock a pair of vise grips on the rear edge of the bracket pulley to be able to break it loose.

Thanks for that info. Not quite sure what you mean about the vise grips. Do you mean to keep the pulley from turning? I had planned to wedge a screwdriver acrosse the bolts holding on the pully to keep it from turning. Saw somewhere that there is a special tool that goes in a hole in the bearing mount but don't have that.
